Formula 1 confirms it will hold ‘Bahrain Grand Prix’ in Malaysia in October
Formula 1 has announced it will hold the rescheduled Bahrain Grand Prix at Malaysia's Sepang circuit in October 2026, approximately 6,000 kilometres from Bahrain. The original Bahrain race was cancelled in April 2026 after military strikes involving the USA, Israel, and Iran destabilised the Middle East region, with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix also scrapped. The Malaysian race will be slotted between the Azerbaijan and Singapore rounds, forming part of a packed nine-event run over the final 11 weeks of the season.
