Formula 1 and the FIA have announced engine regulation changes set to take effect in 2027. The modifications include a 50kW increase in internal combustion engine (ICE) power output, alongside a reduction in Energy Recovery System (ERS) deployment. The changes are designed to shift the balance of performance back toward driver skill, addressing widespread dissatisfaction among drivers with the current hybrid power unit formula.
