Formula 1 News: F1 rejects claims Spa coverage hiding energy problem of Frankenstein Cars
Formula 1 has denied allegations that its TV coverage at Spa deliberately concealed energy management problems with the 2026 'Frankenstein' cars, after Sky Deutschland commentators noted onboard cameras cut away before the end of the Kemmel Straight and speed/battery graphics were largely absent. F1 told Auto Motor und Sport there was 'no political agenda' and that all onboard footage remains available in full. However, drivers including world champion Lando Norris confirmed severe energy drops, with Norris describing speed plummeting from 320kph to 270kph in Blanchimont due to battery depletion, while the 2026 Belgian GP pole time was reportedly almost four seconds slower than the previous season.
