Formula 1 News: Norris wins pole for 2026 Hungarian GP (2nd Update)
Lando Norris secured pole position for the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring with a lap of 1m17.207s, edging out Lewis Hamilton's Ferrari by just 0.012 seconds. Hamilton was subsequently handed a 3-place grid penalty for impeding Oscar Piastri, dropping him to 5th on the grid. Kimi Antonelli also received a 3-place grid penalty and a penalty point on his licence for failing to slow sufficiently for a yellow flag at Turn 14, relegating him to 7th.
