Formula 1 News: Russell tops Practice 1 in Barcelona

George Russell set the fastest lap time of 1m16.363s to top Practice 1 for the Barcelona GP, with Oscar Piastri second for McLaren at 0.203s behind and Charles Leclerc third in his Ferrari at 0.520s adrift. Max Verstappen was fourth in the Red Bull, 0.684s behind Russell, while young substitute Leonardo Fornaroli rounded out the top five filling in for Lando Norris. Several rookie and substitute drivers took part in the session, including Colton Herta who finished last, 4.334s behind Russell, while Williams failed to get their driver Browning out on track.
