Formula 1 set for return to Istanbul in 2026
Formula 1 is set to officially announce its return to Istanbul Park in 2026, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali attending a launch event at the Presidential Dolmabahce Working Office. The agreement, which follows the completion of the Istanbul Park tender process in 2024, is expected to span several years and includes plans to upgrade the circuit and introduce green event initiatives aligned with F1's sustainability goals. The races are projected to generate multibillion-dollar added value for the Turkish economy and tourism sector, while Red Bull Racing driver Yuki Tsunoda is also set to participate in activities connected to the announcement.
