Formula 1 still to decide on Qatar and Abu Dhabi as FIA WEC replace Middle East rounds
The final two rounds of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship have been relocated from Qatar and Bahrain due to ongoing security concerns linked to a war involving Iran in the Gulf region. Barcelona will host a six-hour WEC race on October 18, replacing the Qatar round at Lusail, while Monza will stage the season finale on November 8 in place of Bahrain. The changes also cast uncertainty over Formula 1's planned late-season races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, with the series yet to make a decision on those events.
