Formula 1 to race at Sepang as Malaysia hosts 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix

Formula 1 will return to Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit for the first time since 2017, as the country has agreed to host the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix in October due to ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The one-off arrangement, confirmed through a joint agreement between Formula 1, the FIA, and the governments of Malaysia and Bahrain, preserves the 2026 F1 calendar. The relocated race is scheduled to take place between the Azerbaijan and Singapore Grand Prix weekends, though uncertainty remains over the Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix.
