Four more golds taken by home nations at the velodrome on penultimate day of Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games
On the penultimate day of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games velodrome programme, home nations claimed four more gold medals in track cycling. England's Henry Hobbs, aged 19 on his debut Games, won the scratch race for his second gold of the competition, while teammate Ethan Vernon took bronze despite a major crash on the penultimate lap. Scotland's Neil Fachie and pilot Aaron Pope won the men's tandem sprint in a 2-1 final against Wales' James Ball and Matt Rotherham, and Wales' Emma Finucane claimed her third Commonwealth title of the Games.
