Fourth-down flops doom LSU in 'really disappointing' loss to Alabama

No. 14 LSU lost at home to No. 5 Alabama 31-13, falling to 6-3 on the season despite outgaining the Crimson Tide by 172 yards. The Tigers were undone by poor performance in the red zone and on fourth-down attempts. LSU coach Lane Kiffin described the result as 'really disappointing' in what was a matchup between two College Football Playoff hopefuls.
