Britain's Francesca Jones successfully defended her title at the Palermo Ladies Open, making it back-to-back wins on the Challenger Tour. The top seed defeated Fiona Ferro 6-0, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6) in a match lasting two hours and 43 minutes. The 25-year-old Jones, who had reached a career-high ranking of 65 earlier this year, came from behind in both the second and third sets to claim victory.
