Freddie Freeman exits Dodgers-Royals game after scary fall into dugout
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman exited Wednesday night's game against the Kansas City Royals after falling down the dugout stairs while chasing a foul popup hit by Isaac Collins in the eighth inning. Freeman was checked by training staff and remained at first base briefly before Tommy Edman pinch-hit for him in the bottom of the eighth. After the game, Freeman told reporters he suffered soreness in his kneecaps, shoulders, hands, and wrists, but confirmed he did not hit his head and was in good spirits.
