French Open 2026: Mirra Andreeva beats Maja Chwalinska for first Grand Slam title

Mirra Andreeva, 19, won her first Grand Slam title at the 2026 French Open on June 6, defeating Polish qualifier Maja Chwalinska 6-3, 6-2 in the women's singles final. Andreeva becomes the first teenager to win the Roland Garros women's singles title since Iga Swiatek in 2020. Chwalinska, who entered the tournament as a qualifier ranked around 500th in the world, was denied a remarkable fairytale victory.
