French Open 2026: What Mirra Andreeva’s maiden Grand Slam win means for her and WTA

Mirra Andreeva, aged 19, won the 2026 French Open to claim her maiden Grand Slam title, becoming the first teenage Roland Garros champion since Iga Swiatek in 2020. The victory is her sixth career WTA title, giving her at least one title at every level including a WTA 250, two WTA 500s, two WTA 1000s, and now a Grand Slam. Andreeva, who joined the WTA Tour in 2022, is also a 2024 Paris Olympics women's doubles silver medalist.
