French Open agrees to talks with players in row over grand slam prize money

The French Tennis Federation (FFT) has pledged to make concrete proposals on increased prize money, player welfare, and representation within the next month following tensions at the French Open. The talks with leading agents came on the same day many top players, including world No 1s Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka, limited their pre-tournament media briefings to 15 minutes in protest over what they consider insufficient grand slam prize money. The development marks a breakthrough after players staged a media boycott at Roland Garros.
