Fritz withdraws from Eastbourne

Taylor Fritz, the 28-year-old American world No. 7, has withdrawn from the 2026 Lexus Eastbourne Open, meaning he will not compete for a third consecutive title at the grass-court ATP 250 event where he is a record four-time champion. Despite the withdrawal, Fritz heads to Wimbledon in strong form after reaching the finals in both Stuttgart and Halle, holding a 19-12 record for 2026. His place in the draw has been taken by lucky loser Felix Gill, who will face fellow Briton Jan Choinski in the first round.
