From UFC security guard to UFC fighter, Sal Everett earns his shot

Las Vegas native Salhahuddin Everett, formerly a UFC security guard, earned a UFC contract after defeating Ozzy Martin (4-1) via first-round knockout with 1:57 remaining on Episode 9, Season 10 of Dana White's Contender Series. The undefeated welterweight improved his record to 5-0 and was one of four fighters granted a UFC contract that evening. UFC President Dana White praised Everett, who had spent time working security at the UFC Apex just three years prior before climbing the local MMA ranks.
