Sally-Ann Lewis-Wall, a 52-year-old visually impaired lawn bowler from Hinckley, will make her Commonwealth Games debut in Glasgow this July, competing in the B3 classification alongside her director Elizabeth Shipley. A benign brain tumour left her with severely restricted vision, yet she was once tipped for Wimbledon glory at age 12 by tennis legends Jo Durie and Alan Jones after reaching number four in the country. In November, Lewis-Wall and Shipley won their first major title at the World Cup in Malaysia, providing strong momentum heading into the Games.
