Future of PGA Tour Champions course hangs in the balance
The future of En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott, New York, which hosts the PGA Tour Champions' Dick's Sporting Goods Open, remains uncertain due to a dispute over an $8 million irrigation system replacement. The course is owned by the Village of Endicott but managed by Broome County, and the county has stated it will only assist with repairs if it assumes ownership of the course. As of August 4, Broome County Executive Jason Garnar confirmed the county will not participate in the village's Request for Proposal process, while Mayor Nick Burlingame has said he is open to a transfer of ownership but wants to explore other options first.
