Marcel Kittel won Stage 7 of the Tour de France in Nuits-Saint-Georges by an extremely narrow margin of just six millimetres over Edvald Boasson Hagen in a sprint finish. The stage featured a four-man breakaway that included Direct Energie's Yohann Gène before the peloton came together for the finale.
