Galopin Des Champs retired: Owner Audrey Turley salutes 'one of a kind' Cheltenham Gold Cup hero

Galopin Des Champs, the Willie Mullins-trained 10-year-old racehorse, was officially retired on Thursday after a distinguished National Hunt career. The dual Cheltenham Gold Cup winner (2023 and 2024) accumulated 12 Grade One victories, including a hat-trick of Irish Gold Cups between 2023 and 2025. His final race was a third-place finish at the Irish Gold Cup in February 2025, after which a setback ruled him out of a sixth Cheltenham Festival appearance.
