Galopin Des Champs, the two-time Cheltenham Gold Cup winner trained by Willie Mullins, has died at the age of 10, less than a week after being retired from racing. Former jockey Ruby Walsh confirmed on Tuesday that the horse suffered an injury in his field and could not be saved. During his career, Galopin Des Champs won 12 Grade One races, including three Irish Gold Cups, two Savills Chases, and a Punchestown Gold Cup.
