Garrick Higgo splits with caddie after PGA Championship penalty
South African golfer Garrick Higgo has parted ways with caddie Austin Gaugert following a controversial two-stroke penalty for being late to his first-round tee time at the 108th PGA Championship. Despite the penalty, Higgo shot a 1-under 69 in the first round, but followed with a 76 on Friday, missing the cut by a single stroke β a cut he would have made without the penalty. Higgo has since hired Nick Cavendish-Pell as his new caddie, who will be on the bag at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in Dallas.
