Gary Anderson: Four incident rule changes F1 should make

Former F1 technical director Gary Anderson has outlined four changes he believes Formula 1 should make to how it handles on-track incidents. His concerns were highlighted by events at the inaugural race at the new Madring circuit, where Lando Norris lost victory to Kimi Antonelli after a Virtual Safety Car was deployed on lap 14 when Lance Stroll retired, giving rivals a timing advantage despite Norris being in full control of the race. Anderson argues that consistent penalties for yellow flag violations would reduce the need for VSCs, which he believes are currently distorting race outcomes.
