GB boxers guaranteed three medals at Europeans

Great Britain are guaranteed at least three medals at the European Boxing Championships in Bulgaria after Chantelle Reid, Damar Thomas, and Abdul Burton all reached the semi-finals. Reid, a 28-year-old Commonwealth Games silver medallist, secured a 5-0 victory over Ireland's Evelyn Igharo in the women's light-middleweight division and will face Serbia's Milena Matovic in the semi-finals on Wednesday. Thomas and Burton also advanced to the last four, ensuring GB will finish with at least three medals from the tournament held at the Asics Arena Sports Hall in Sofia.
