GB's Hunt wins record 4th gold at single Euros

Amy Hunt became the first athlete to win four gold medals at a single European Athletics Championships, achieving the feat at the 2022 European Championships in Birmingham. She anchored the British mixed 4x100m relay team, alongside Jeremiah Azu, Dina Asher-Smith, and Zharnel Hughes, who set a European record of 39.97 seconds to claim gold ahead of Germany (40.11s) and Spain. Asher-Smith also made history by becoming the outright leader in European Athletics Championships medals for both men and women with her 11th career medal.
