Genesis Scottish Open lands major boost ahead of The Open

The 2026 Genesis Scottish Open, scheduled for July 9-12 at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, has received a major boost with the confirmation of major champions Aaron Rai, J.J. Spaun, and Brooks Koepka to its field. They join world number one Scottie Scheffler, defending champion Chris Gotterup, Viktor Hovland, Rory McIlroy, Robert MacIntyre, and Xander Schauffele. Rai, ranked 13th in the world and fresh from winning the PGA Championship, has a particular connection to the venue, having claimed his first Rolex Series victory there in 2020.
