George Russell F1 title chances defended by Toto Wolff after Helmut Marko comments

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has publicly defended George Russell's Formula 1 championship prospects after former Red Bull adviser Helmut Marko claimed Russell would never have another shot at the title. As of late October 2026, Russell sits 123 points behind the championship leader, making his current season title bid extremely difficult. Wolff rejected Marko's assertion, expressing continued confidence in Russell's ability to compete for the championship in the future.
