German's Lipowitz back at home after Tour de France crash surgery

German cyclist Florian Lipowitz of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe has returned home after undergoing surgery to repair a collarbone fracture sustained in a crash during the 2026 Tour de France. The news was confirmed by team manager Ralph Denk. Lipowitz had been competing in stage 16 of the race, an individual time trial of 26.1 km from Evian-les-Bains to Thonon-les-Bains, when the incident occurred.
