Giants 3B Casey Schmitt leaves game versus Brewers in 2nd inning due to apparent leg injury

San Francisco Giants third baseman Casey Schmitt left Monday night's game against the Milwaukee Brewers in the bottom of the second inning after suffering an apparent left leg injury. Schmitt hurt his leg while rounding first base after hitting a single to right field, and was seen grasping at his lower left leg before limping off the field with a trainer. He was replaced by backup Christian Koss and had been hitting .271 with 21 home runs on the season.
