Giro d'Italia 2026: Davde Ballerini survives Naples cobbles crash

Italy's Davide Ballerini won stage six of the Giro d'Italia 2026 after a chaotic crash on the final cobbled sector in Naples. Rain began falling as the peloton approached a bunch sprint finish, causing four riders to fall on a cobbled corner, eliminating sprint favorites Paul Magnier of France and Italy's Jonathan Milan from contention. Ballerini, 31, riding for XDS-Astana, navigated the inside of the corner to take the stage victory.
