Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, second day of athletics, Big 100 meters!

On day two of athletics at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow (July 28), Emmanuel Eseme of Cameroon won the men's 100m in a Games record and national record of 9.83 (+1.3), with Lachlan Kennedy second in an Oceanian record 9.85 and Kayinsola Ajayi third in 9.90. In the women's 100m, New Zealand's Zoe Hobbs set an Oceanian record of 10.93 to claim gold, ahead of Amy Hunt (10.98) and Torrie Lewis, who ran an Australian national record of 10.99. Australia's Ky Robinson also claimed the country's first-ever Commonwealth Games gold in the 10,000m.
