Goalkeeper tactical timeouts: Trial for new rule proposed after Premier League, EFL, WSL and FA reach agreement

The Premier League, EFL, WSL, and FA have reached an agreement to trial a new rule aimed at tackling goalkeeper tactical timeouts. Under the proposed trial, coaches will have 10 seconds to select an outfield player to temporarily leave the pitch for one minute when a goalkeeper requires treatment. The agreement spans the top tiers of English football, covering both men's and women's competitions.
