On Day Three of the 2026 Commonwealth Games athletics programme in Glasgow, Wales achieved a clean sweep of the para discus medals, with Paralympic champion Aled Davies winning gold in the men's discus throw F42-44/F61-64, Funmi Oduwaiye taking silver, and Bree Cronin claiming bronze in the women's equivalent event. Scotland's Stephen Mackenzie delighted the home crowd by leaping 8.09m to win bronze in the men's long jump in his first Commonwealth Games appearance. England's Elise Thorner also contributed with a silver medal-winning run on July 30, 2026.
