Golden Knights recover to top Hurricanes in 2OT in Game 3 of Cup Final
The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 5-4 in double overtime in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena, with Shea Theodore scoring the winner at 5:38 of the second overtime. Mitch Marner set a Stanley Cup Final record with the fastest hat trick in history, scoring three consecutive goals in 6:10 to help Vegas build a 4-0 lead, also becoming the first NHL player to record four points in a single period in Cup Final history. Carolina mounted a stunning four-goal comeback in the third period to force overtime, but Vegas holds a 2-1 series lead heading into Game 4 on Tuesday.
