Government boost for local cricket facilities to mark launch of ICC Women's T20 World Cup

The UK Government has announced five new locations for all-weather cricket domes to coincide with the launch of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, which is being hosted by England. The initiative aims to allow cricket to be played year-round by shielding players from poor weather conditions. This marks England's first hosting of a major global cricket tournament since the men's team won the World Cup in 2019.
