Granit Xhaka cleared to play for Switzerland again after fake Covid-19 vaccination certificate scandal

Granit Xhaka and Breel Embolo have been cleared to represent Switzerland again next month following an investigation into their acquisition of fake Covid-19 vaccination certificates. The two players had faced scrutiny over the scandal but have now been deemed available for international selection. No further disciplinary action appears to have been taken against either player by the Swiss football authorities.
