Greenwood leads Fenerbahce rally to end Liverpool's perfect UCL start

Fenerbahce defeated Liverpool 3-2 in a UEFA Champions League group stage match on November 4, 2026, ending Liverpool's perfect record (which stood at 3-0-1, 9 points). Mason Greenwood, Archie Brown, and Vedat Muriqi scored for Fenerbahce, with Muriqi's header proving the winner after Liverpool twice took the lead through Trey Nyoni (25') and Alexander Isak (69'). Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola came under scrutiny for making five changes, including resting key forwards following a weekend defeat to Arsenal.
