Grizzlies, Pelicans agree to 4-player trade

The Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans completed a four-player trade made official on Tuesday, with Memphis sending AJ Johnson and Taj Gibson to New Orleans in exchange for Jordan Hawkins, Micah Peavy, and two future second-round picks. Hawkins, the No. 14 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, averaged 8.0 points over three seasons with New Orleans, while Peavy was selected 40th overall in the 2025 NBA Draft and averaged 4.3 points as a rookie. The deal was finalized during the 2025-26 NBA season.
