Hall of Fame legend says Terence Crawford couldn’t compete in his era: “I’m being real”
Hall of Fame boxer James 'Lights Out' Toney has claimed that Terence Crawford, who retired as a three-division undisputed champion with wins over Julius Indongo, Errol Spence Jr, and Canelo Alvarez, would not have been able to compete in Toney's era. Toney, a three-division world champion with a 92-fight career who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2022, made the comments in an interview with About Boxing. He extended the criticism to other modern fighters including David Benavidez, insisting no fighter from the current era could have succeeded in his time.
