Hamilton loses P2 after Qualifying incident in Hungary
Lewis Hamilton received a three-place grid penalty for the Hungarian Grand Prix after impeding Oscar Piastri during qualifying. Hamilton had initially qualified P2 at the Hungaroring, but the penalty was issued after he blocked Piastri at Turn 1, forcing the Australian to exceed track limits, abort his lap, and settle for P5. Lando Norris had already claimed pole position for McLaren, his first of the 2025 season, before the incident was investigated.
