Hamilton penalty for unsafe pit release confirmed
Ferrari have been fined €30,000 (€10,000 suspended for 12 months) following an unsafe pit release incident involving Lewis Hamilton during the Belgian Grand Prix. On Lap 20, as Hamilton was released from his pit box after serving a five-second penalty, a mechanic operating a front wing tool moved into the path of the car's front-right tyre and was struck, falling to the floor. The mechanic was not injured in the incident, and the penalty was confirmed by the Stewards following the conclusion of the race.
