Herta seeing IndyCar similarities after latest F1 outing - RACER

Colton Herta completed his second FP1 outing with Cadillac at the Hungarian Grand Prix, running 28 trouble-free laps while finishing one second behind teammate Sergio Perez. The American driver, who made his first F1 practice appearance in Barcelona in June, noted that the braking and cornering characteristics of an F1 car are actually similar to an IndyCar, contrary to expectations. Herta acknowledged the main difference is the significantly greater power and torque in lower gears compared to IndyCar.
