High-flying Brighton dispatch Getafe in Spanish debut

Brighton beat Getafe 1-0 in their UEFA Conference League match on 5 November 2026, with Malick Yalcouyé scoring the only goal in the 64th minute — his fourth of the season. The victory, Brighton's first competitive fixture in Spain, moves them to seven points from three matches and keeps them the only team yet to concede a goal in this season's Conference League. Manager Fabian Hurzeler made five changes from the side that defeated Manchester City at the weekend, with Yalcouyé joined in the starting lineup by Hadjam, Svobada, Hinshelwood, and Rutter.
