How F1 2026 has been a season of two halves for Ferrari so far

Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur has described the 2026 Formula 1 season as falling into two distinct phases across the first 11 rounds. In the early part of the season, Mercedes outscored Ferrari by approximately 100 points over four or five events, but Ferrari responded strongly after the Spanish Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc winning at Barcelona and Silverstone respectively. Ferrari has maintained second place in the constructors' championship throughout the season, and Vasseur made his assessment following the Hungarian Grand Prix.
