HUDSON-SMITH VERSUS HALL – MUCH-ANTICIPATED MATCHUP IN LONDON 400M

Olympic 400m champion Quincy Hall (USA) and silver medallist Matthew Hudson-Smith (GBR) will meet for the first time since their memorable Paris 2024 Olympic final at the Novuna London Athletics Meet on Saturday 18 July. In Paris, Hall won in a personal best of 43.40 while Hudson-Smith clocked 43.44 to set a European record, with five runners breaking 44 seconds in one of the fastest Olympic 400m finals in history. Hall has raced sparingly since Paris, missing the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo due to injury, and this will mark his first appearance at the London meet.
