Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi likely Game 5 starter in Stanley Cup Final

Brandon Bussi is the likely Game 5 starter in goal for the Carolina Hurricanes in the Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights on June 11, 2026, though coach Rod Brind'Amour stopped short of an official announcement. The 27-year-old rookie replaced Frederik Andersen in Game 3 and started Game 4, making 18 saves in Carolina's 5-3 win that evened the series at 2-2. Andersen, who started the previous 16 playoff games, has not practiced fully since being pulled but was not ruled out by Brind'Amour.
