Hurricanes, Canadiens take moment to honor Claude Lemieux before Game 5

Former NHL player Claude Lemieux, a four-time Stanley Cup champion and 1995 Conn Smythe Trophy winner, passed away this week at the age of 60. Before Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final between the Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens at Lenovo Center, both teams held a moment of silence in his honor. Lemieux played seven of his 21 NHL seasons with the Canadiens and also had stints with the Devils, Avalanche, Coyotes, Stars, and Sharks, while his son Brendan played for the Hurricanes during the 2023-24 season.
