Hurricanes win Stanley Cup with Game 6 shutout against Golden Knights
The Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup for the first time since 2006, defeating the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in Game 6 at T-Mobile Arena on Sunday. Goaltender Brandon Bussi made 22 saves for the shutout, while Jackson Blake scored a goal and added an assist, with Taylor Hall and Nikolaj Ehlers also scoring. Carolina finished the playoffs with a 16-3 record, the fewest games needed to win the Cup since 1988, and captain Jordan Staal was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP after recording six goals in the Stanley Cup Final.
