Bianca Andreescu, who famously won the 2019 US Open at age 19 by defeating Serena Williams, went over 2,300 days without winning another title after that breakthrough. She has recently ended that lengthy drought by claiming a new victory, albeit a modest one with a prize of just $3,000 (£2,200). The Canadian describes the win as breaking a personal curse that had plagued her career for years.
